Groupon for Hotels?

The Boyfriend and I need to travel to Vegas for his brothers wedding. Ive priced out Travelocity and places like that for package deals, but they're all running over $1200 for a 3 day stay in early November. I saw that Groupon is running deals on hotels there. Has any of you ever used Groupon for a hotel? How did the experience go?
