Ingress/Pokémon walks

I went on an awesome trek yesterday with a friend, trying to capture portals and whatnot for Ingress... This morning I worked out that we walked roughly 5.3 miles (8.5km) over fields and through woods and up hills (etc).. I'm wondering what's the furthest you have travelled in one go to collect Pokémon or portals and the like?
